The Markdown & Logic Contest

Markdown is a text-to-HTML conversion tool. It allows you to write documents using minimal syntax and then convert your document to a structurally valid XHTML (or HTML) document. Markdown is also an effective tool for presenting documents that contain mathematical symbols, such as those found in symbolic logic.

Rules of the Contest

  1. Take a look at the following guide: Markdown and Symbolic Logic.
  2. Do something interesting, technically challenging, aesthetically pleasing, creative, distinctive, pedagogically helpful, etc. that involves the use of Markdown and symbolic logic.
  3. Email me your project as a Markdown file (.md), plain text (.txt), HTML (.html) or post your work to the web and send me a link to it (Penn State offers free web space).
  4. Depending upon the number & quality of the entries, your project will then be anonymously distributed for judging & a winner or set of winners will be decided.
